All About Torn Flashborne
Torn, in many ways, is the pentultimate adventurer. Tall, handsome, charismatic, talented, he's like straight out of a fairy tale, something which has gotten to his head quite thuroughly. Dressed in light armour and armed to the teeth, This 6'1", fair-skinned, fair-haired, blue-eyed wonderboy is the born warrior.
His gifts and appearance aside, Torn has only one motivation in his life: Fame. He cares not how his rise to fame transpires - whether he'll be a saint or a devil, warrior or mage, living or dead. His only aspiration is to be known worldwide. Together with his delusions of immortality, boyish charm and skill at arms, this makes him reckless and self-important, which frequently gets him into trouble. The only good thing that can be said about him with certainty, is that if he can make the same fame and fortune doing good as he can doing evil, he will always do good - though it's hard to tell why. He's also one to join the underdog because of the challenge, a fact that sadly means he'll often join the good guys.
Being Prince of Epics means Torn is divine patron of heroism and bardic storytelling, which means he's a favoured patron of many who do adventuring for the glory and fame. This also means that Torn's standards are high - it takes a lot to impress him. As a deity, Torn is somewhat unorthodox: Knowing him is a privilege, but once you've earned that privilege, Torn is not a lord telling you what to do - he's a friend, eager to travel, fight, or sing with you - or just hang out! He's also well aware that despite his divinity, he's not a particularly clever or cunning man, and therefore values the opinions of others highly. He doesn't necessarily listen, but that's because he's stubborn, not because he thinks he's right.
Companions:
Hílðegùnn, Lady of the Valkyries - Hílðegùnn is the lady of all the valkyries in Musalia, by virtue of being Torn's personal retainer. Alone among the valkyries, she spends as much time on Revaliir as in Torn's temple-realm. Normally, her plate armour can appear somewhat scant and impractical, making the shape of a corset and leggings as well as gauntlets and a helmet that covers the eyes, but whenever the valkyrie enters combat, the rest of her armour is summoned and she is covered head to toe in metal plates - with only her mouth left uncovered. She can summon a glaive or a bow in combat, and is adept with either. For a valkyrie, she has a lot of sass, but had discipline where it counts.
The Merry Band of Misfits - Previously a band of adventurers with whom Torn travelled, The Merry Band of Misfits is now the name held by the militant wing of Torn's clergy. Rather than being enforcers of his will, the Merry Band of Misfits are in fact just heroes, whose fame grows in symbiosis with Torn's. The original Misfits are all members, and Torn will oftentimes summon them to be his companions again, whenever a large challenge needs overcoming. A handful of the Misfits are also Chroniclers, and are affectionately called the Merry-Makers.

Chariot of the Heroic Charge: Nothing special. It's a chariot. Torn just likes to give his stuff fantastical names. (Cart)
Irresisitble charisma: Torn, despite the fact he's arguably just a lucky idiot, is blessed with an almost supernatural ability to persuade people, or appear likeable. (Charm)
