His dark brown hair reaching past his shoulders is partially tied back into a high ponytail while the rest is left loose, and he possesses dark brown eyes to match. His temperament is mild and mannerisms courteous, yet archaic–a testament to his ascetic roots. One should not mistake this for weakness, as such a meek demeanor belies several lifetimes' worth of rigorous physical and spiritual training. In the early days of his initiation, he was taught that there was good and evil in all things and one must strive to see the good. Although Shiloh would disagree, he gives most people the benefit of the doubt regarding their actions.
He acts wholeheartedly with sincerity, but does not wear his heart on his sleeve. Valuing harmony, he would rather keep his thoughts to himself instead of voicing opinions that may create dissent. Under most circumstances he is willing to forgive, but there are a few exceptions. Callous betrayal without remorse is one, as no amount of sympathy can sway him then. As he trusts so freely, it takes quite a lot to reach the limits of his graciousness. In contrast to Shiloh, bouts of extreme emotion are rare for him and he is sensitive to others' emotional states. However due to having been so far removed from mundane life for so long, he struggles to comprehend motivations that differ from his own. This difficulty arises from being unable to reconcile understandable emotion with illogical and conflicting reason.
In combat he acts swiftly, using as much force he deems necessary without hesitation. To spirits he is decisive and to humans he shows mercy, something which is both a flaw and a merit. Doubt is a hindrance and one must strike with both mind and body. Countless past experiences have reinforced his understanding of what methods should be used to deal with various types of creatures and apparitions.
His ascetic training and precepts were strongly anthropocentric while emphasizing removal of oneself from the secular world and thus, worldly desires. Spiritual beings were fickle and nonhuman beings do not abide by laws, thus their words should be placed under scrutiny. Rituals of isolated meditation and physical conditioning were the means by which one would achieve the clarity of mind that were fundamental towards obtaining spiritual transcendence. Petty emotions such as greed, anger, and jealousy were distractions that prevented one from reaching this transcendence. Desire and affection which was not universal love were to be abandoned as they were seen as impure and would eventually interfere with achieving transcendence through causing internal and external strife.
History:A long time ago, Siris was one of the many ascetics in training at the Solstice Temple. He and his peers sought to hone their minds and bodies through martial training and the pursuit of erudition in order to achieve transcendence.
Clothing and Equipment:Siris has modified his sect robes into something more suitable for traveling, adopting a less clerical style. Since any tools or artifacts he needs is accessible from his personal storage or a conjuration spell away, he travels light.
Talents and Abilities:Siris possesses vast knowledge on esoteric subjects such as alchemy, meteorology, astrology, and other forms of divination. Well-versed in ancient mysticism and thaumaturgy, the cumulation of Siris' time and ascetic discipline means his current skill is comparable to an archmage. Being more of a scholar than a martial artist, his combat prowess with a longsword is merely above average, which he more than compensates with arcane talent. Upon becoming an arcane phantasm, this talent has increased manyfold.
