[The Short Story]|Daeluin|Raeguel's story started thousands of years ago as he was born as Nathaniel Silvercross. He was brought up and raised to be a knight of the royal court in his small kingdom. A prideful young man, he was brash and arrogant and refused to listen to his superiors. It was what had doomed him from the start as one day his party was ambushed by vampires and was unable to stop them from slaughtering his men. When it came down to him, he sold his soul and gave in to become one of them. His family, upon learning what had happened, abandoned him and for that he went mad and set their home ablaze, killing them in the inferno. Eventually he would find his way back to the vampire clan that changed him and fell into their ranks, renaming himself as Nemesis. It was there were he found the woman that would be his first true love, Andrea. Unfortunately one of their brothers, Logan, also sought for her attention and when she refused, he killed her. The council refused to give him the justice he deserved, and instead banished her murderer from their house. Madness took over again and he set the mansion on fire and watched them all burn before he slaughtered Logan. For years Nemesis traveled across the countryside, killing anyone he came into contact with before learning of a land where a vampiric goddess resided and sought to gain her fancy. After a difficult trial, he was allowed into her family and clergy, once again being reborn with the blood of an ancient and powerful clan known as the Shira. He served her well while possessing an extreme obsession over her, and perhaps that along with his devoted loyalty was why when she fell that she chose him to lead the family before her departure.
A creature of sin, Nemesis rebuilt the family under his image, though the Shira were once again dispersed from the members being cutthroats to one another to gain his affection. One of the problems he was faced with dealing with was that another clan had attacked his own. That would lead him into getting involved with that of the Rosenites and one of their queens, Angela. They shared a brief tryst and soon after he would learn that she was carrying his children. Twins were the result and though he feared of what others in his clan would think, he loved the two children dearly and sought to make sure that they weren't involved in his dark dealings. Madness would come to him one last time as his family fell apart, it was a desperate means to try and hold on to what he had control over but it failed.
|Revaliir|Soon the vampire would find himself sucked into the sky into a realm of nothingness. Face with all that he had done, he broke down and awaited his truest of deaths. It would be a mercy after living so long and causing so much pain and death. Angela, now a goddess, found him and along with Melina, mended his body though his mind was wrecked with guilt and remorse. His children were also found and as a means to become a better person, he swears to protect them with his life. No long could he claim to be a monster, nor could he revert to being the man he was before, he chose to rename himself "Raeguel".
