Backstory:
From a very young age Liono knew he was different from everyone else. He would be picked on by the other kids in the village day in, day out, though he never really understood why. He was known to be a kind and giving child, respected his elders and he always tried not to cause trouble. As the years passed he could feel something inside him was changing and there was something different about him. He slowly found his anger growing at the treatment and deep inside wished to harm the other children. At the age of 18 he shifted for the first time and he understood he was not normal. His anger came over him in a rush and he lost all control. He was lucky his father had been home from hunting to subdue him. He felt shame every time he saw the scars on his fathers arms from there on out and beseeched his father for information. He learned his father was not his father by birth, his blood parents were both killed for being Adlet and Liono was taken in by the man who raised him. His father explained to him the legends of the Adlets, and what was known of their origin.

Gathering his belongings Liono headed to the land of his origin. Determined to find the truth of his ancestors, and what could possibly be. For years he wandered alone, never finding his true place. When Liono was in his early twenties he was recruited to do some body tattooing for someone who didn’t want to pay full price , so began his side work of tattooing.

****************************************************************Adlets
Adlets are a little known race due to the rarity of their existence. Adlets are much like werewolves in that they can not control their shifts, nor what they do when they have shifted unless they are blood bonded to someone. Unlike werewolves Adlets require blood to shift most of the time, generally a humans blood or a human like creatures blood <IE shifters, Elven, other Adlets, Weres, etc> is required and not the moon. Regular creatures' blood does not satisfy the bloodlust and in such does not instigate a shift. There have been known occurrences of Adlets shifting in times of extreme stress or anger, when hatred becomes an unsatisfied bloodlust, and at these times Adlets are extremely dangerous and uncontrollable.

Adlets first shifts usually come around the time they hit puberty, which is a bit later than average humans due to their delayed growth cycles that came from of both their subspecies. Adlets are not considered Hybrids as they really have no powers from the vampire side of their bloodline, with the exception of the need for blood. Their werewolf side has had some more prevalence in their kind through the years. They all have a slightly increased healing factor and they ALL carry a venom like bacteria that WILL turn a HUMAN <100 % pure humans only are at risk> into an Adlet like them.

Adlets have a lower heart rate and a higher body temperature than humans. They are leaner and stronger than an average human and naturally have a higher healing rate as they have to heal upon shifting or the act of shifting in itself would kill them. Their Anthro form is roughly 25% larger than their human size and they have extremely heightened senses, strength and speed. They look more like Shifters in their Anthro form, looking like overgrown wolves rather than having the appearance most Were’s have of disheveled, sick creatures. Adlets, if they are not killed, live roughly 400 years though they are highly hunted and rarely survive that long.

When forged into armor, the ore is far tougher than leather, but not to the point of overtaking old-fashioned plate. It is a druid's best friend up until they can acquire a proper witchwood or dragonscale set.
