Human Form
Gaia is a shapeshifter by birth, her origin animal being a griffin and as such her pure form is also a griffin. She has 3 forms: Pure Griffin, Anthro (Were) Form and Human.

In human form, Gaia stands 5'7 with dark Auburn (Reddish brown) hair, though when she spends alot of time in the sun, it lightens substantially in color. Her hair is just a bit longer than shoulder length and wavy. She has long Brown and red splotched wings, with a wingspan of 13ft, hidden within her feathers of each wing is a solitary 6 inch sickle talon that can pierce metal (this trait is in all 3 forms.) Her skin color is pale, as it does not see much sun as she usually spends most of her time in either of her two other forms. Her eyes are dark grey, like the sky during a storm.





Anthro-Form
Gaia stands 6'8 in her anthro form. She walks on 2 feet normally, her hind legs being that of a lion and her arms/hands being the scaled golden color of an eagles limbs. Her lower half is adorned with short red/brown fur, her upper half is feathered with red/brown white and black speckled feathers. Her hands end in sharp black talons and her face has a strong sharp black beak. She has short, somewhat rounded ears and dark grey eyes.



Pure Form
Gala stands 6.5 feet at the shoulder in her griffin form, Her flank is a lion flank and her forebody is that of a golden eagle with long strong wings. Her coloration is exactly the same in her pure form as it is in her Anthro form.


Skills and Abilities

Flying
Gaia is a master of the skies in all 3 forms. She has learned to fly in all forms from her family, having lived with them for the first 15 years of her life until she decided she wanted to go out on her own. As an adept flyer, Gaia knows how to use her body as a weapon in the air.

Archery
Gaia's preferred weapon, outside of herself is a bow and arrows. With sharp eyesight her ability to aim is very good. Scaled forearms in her griffin form are great for pulling a bowstring taunt, the string against flesh doesn't hurt like it can when in human form.

Eyesight, sense of smell and hearing
Like eagle brethren, she can see prey just shy of a mile away and she can smell scents, especially of dead animals slightly over a mile away. She also has keen hearing, the deeper the sounds the further away she can hear them. She has near perfect eyesight in the darkness in her pure form as do most of her kind and can sense heat signatures to some extent, though she has to be pretty close to whatever she is seeking out to do so.

Speed
Gaia can run roughly 40 mph on the ground. When she dives, wings tucked from high in the air she can hit speeds upwards of 150mph (golden eagles can hit upwards of 200mph, I researched it for validity…)

Speech
Gaia has learned a few different languages though she is only considered proficient in human and griffin. She is able to speak telepathically through most "Intelligent" animals and can read thoughts.

Blood
Gaia has blood magic, though she does not know how to use the majority of it. She can not bleed to death and her blood when applied to a wound or drink can heal the other person, from illness and/or wounds. This comes at a price as she can become "blood drunk" and needs to release blood or she becomes lethargic and tired and after too much time it becomes painful (much like a woman needs to nurse or it becomes uncomfortable.) Another downfall of the blood disorder is she is very much at risk of drowning very quickly if her lungs are ever punctured.

Her own wounds do not heal super fast, though the accelerated blood reproduction does cause her to scab up substantially faster, IE cutting her wrist will heal within a day, going from gushing, to blood clotting in an hour or two, so a scab in half a day, to a scar in a day (rough estimates depending on the injury.)


Personality
Having been raised around her kind, she is pretty self assured and can be quiet the brat. She knows her strength and her worth . She tries not to be rude though sometimes she comes across as such, especially when talking to non-shifters because she is not too familiar with some of their customs and such.

She has been raised as a warrior for her clan, so she sees herself as strong and intelligent. She spent the first 25 years of her life learning to fight and hunt.

History and Lore
Gaia was born and raised within a secret society of Griffins hidden very well in Sahel Hightops.

Blood Ingot
Made from a strange biological ore that is native to Onnen, dragon crimsonite or blood ingot is formed by compressing ash from the Ashlands of that continent with sap from high dragon blood trees - a species of dragon blood trees that form and spread after a regular tree has been exposed to a drop of dragon's blood. When forged into armor, the ore is far tougher than leather, but not to the point of overtaking old-fashioned plate. It is a druid's best friend up until they can acquire a proper witchwood or dragonscale set.
