All About Genesis

There are all manner strange things in the realms. Terrifying horrors and twisted abominations spawned from the wretched depths of the abyss, unknowable and unexplained monstrosities defying classification. And yet, many still try. In the most broad sense of the term, Genesis is a chimera. The unnatural amalgamation of many things at once, a sort of living alchemy taking fro that which exists to create something new altogether.

At a glance, Genesis could quickly be described as a small girl, between the ages of eight and eleven. Closer inspection, however, soon fails to hold up to scrutiny. Slotted, feline eyes gleam from beneath hair tangled with ivy. Her clothes are not clothes at all, but a dark and leafy pattern attached to her flesh bearing the musk of recently fallen leaves after an autumn rain. Catch her in the wild, and the differences start to tack on. Sharp claws, chattering fangs, and a whip-like tail ending in a venomous barbed tip.

Give it time, and yet still Genesis seems changed again. Not quite different. But certainly not the same. A brief encounter with dejavu, just the faintest shift in hue to question the validity of the moment.

The chimera, though small, is driven by an endless hunger. To hunt, to consume, to repeat, far beyond its own mass each day. Be it flora or fauna, man or beast, Genesis gives little concern to how its hunger is sated, only that it feasts …

Thousands of years ago this stone was actually a tree. Fire opal can be found growing within from water filling the cracks while it was alive.

The caster summons a ball of earth and hurls it at their target.

Increases the physical strength of the user for a short time.

Botanical Growth

Using the power of one’s relationship with the earth, one is able to considerably speed up the growth of florae at a max of 40 feet. This allows the florae to grapple or contain the people around the caster.

Banshee Tears

Ethereal essence extracted from banshees and higher wraiths, it possesses spectral energies more powerful than standard ectoplasm. Obtaining this essence is no easy task, as extraction puts the seeker in close quarters with malevolent spirits bent on tormenting the living and cannot be collected once the subject leaves the material plane.

A shiny mineral often found in rocks. Often used for crafts.

Burr Berry

A poisonous berry native to Feeorin Forest, these fruits are highly lethal upon ingestion. As such, they rarely appear outside said forest.

This spell allows the caster to change their physical appearance.

Shadow Cloth

Cloth tainted by copious amounts of spectral energy, shadow cloth comes from banshees and other, higher wraiths. Few are the people that can acquire it, for the fabric must be extracted from the subject while it is still “alive,” and the process almost never occurs with a willing subject.

Nature's Fist

Causes the bone beneath the flesh to protrude out, causing pain, to give one a natural weapon. Lasts for ten minutes. Causes wounds.

Rose Hip

The beginnings of a rose, this rose hip is an exceptionally healthy specimen. It can either be planted or ground up for herbalism purposes.

This spell allows the user to adapt their body to the temperature of their surroundings. It provides no outward change in physical characteristics or other racial traits.

Polymorph

This spell allows the caster to take on the form of any animal size of a bear or smaller. Polymorph can also be used to transform individual parts of your body into parts of the described creatures.

The tail feather from a rare feathered dragon found in the tropical regions of Revaliir.

Lump of Coal

A hard packed ball of coal that can be used for crafting. Can also be used to burn for a fire.

A simple block of wood. Maybe it can be used for something?

Hunter's Instinct

Creates heightened senses needed to be a hunter. I.e. Smell, sight, etc.

Weaken

Causes the victim to become physically weakened.

Taint Weapon

The caster imbues a weapon with dark energy, allowing it to deal unholy damage for a short time.

Strangle

Ethereal tendrils reach out and strangle the target, preventing them from speaking, and, in time, suffocating them.

Poison

This spell poisons a single target, draining their strength and stamina until the target is cured or the spell's effects wear off.

Parvpora's Sight

This spell allows the caster the ability to see better in the dark.

Pain Spike

This spell injects a surge of pain within a target which deals mental damage

Dagger

A short, bladed weapon with a sharp point. Can be used to slash or pierce an enemy.

Curse

This spell supernaturally weakens the target's strength, dexterity, and magickal ability.

Corpse Skin

Channelling dark energy, the caster causes a target's skin to rot and decay.
