Hi all, I'm Matthew. I started roleplaying on DaeLuin somewhere back in 2006ish. A couple of my friends managed to drag me back into this world of freeform written RPGs. So here I am.

All About Malati

Character Name: Vasa Malati (Malati is her given name)

Name Meaning: Vasa was Malati’s mother, and her people’s tradition is to use a parent’s name rather than a surname/family name. The parent’s name comes first.

Height: 5’5”

Race: Tiefling

Hair: Dark Purple

Eyes: Yellow

Skintone: Red

Other Features: Malati's left horn was shattered before she was 18, leaving less than half of it remaining and a long scar along the left side of her head. The scar stretches from behind the remains of the horn and pasted the tip of her ear. Malati also has a number of tattoos on her body. The most commonly seen are a tree with pink flowers on the inside of her left forearm and the silhouette of a bird of prey on the outside of her right forearm. She has other tattoos but they are almost always covered by clothing.

Weapons of Choice: Windsong - Light Glaive (Arriese Glaive) – Malati was quite strong enough to be trained in the use of a full glaive by her mother, but she showed a good instinct for the weapon. As a gift for her 16th birthday, Vasa commissioned a shorter, lighter version of the glaive for Malati to use.

Armor of Choice: Malati does not use more armor than the clothes on her back. She prefer to avoid attacks by being swift and nimble.

Magical Abilities: Malati was trained to channel her innate magic to augment her physical abilities, making her stronger and faster. While she was trained to use this ability to fight hand to hand, she has since developed it to use along with the weapon her mother gave her.

Cloth tainted by copious amounts of spectral energy, shadow cloth comes from banshees and other, higher wraiths. Few are the people that can acquire it, for the fabric must be extracted from the subject while it is still “alive,” and the process almost never occurs with a willing subject.

The hellfire provides a minor, elemental enchantment of Fire.

Ammolite is a very ancient gemstone made from fossilized shells. It has an opal like appearance making it highly sought after.

Arriese Glaive
The Arriese kingdom is known for their beautiful crafting skills. This glaive is but one piece that they share with the world. It is immensely sharp and formed from hardened volcanic glass that was dyed by way of magic. The glass shines brightly in the sun much like stained-glass, a favorite of the Rosenite architects. The shaft of the glaive is made from the hardest mahogany imported from Laeto Rainforest and whittled by the Oasis Elves that live alongside the Rosenites.
Enchanted with a keen rune so it never rusts or dulls from age. Enchanted with a second rune that gives the glaive a greater tendency to cause bleeding wounds through armor of any type.
