Upon a floating island in the Northen part of Onnen is the Abshah'mal Monastery, home to monks that devoutly worship the first world tree; Onnen. Onnen is long dead, however, deep within the Monastery in a place that not all of the monks themselves know about, is a world tree sapling. It was here that the elder monks and the protectors of the tree found Sirona laying on day, peacefully asleep. She was in her full battle dress complete with her sword, armour shining.
The monks, of course, were confused as to her sudden appearance within their sacred place, a place that was heavily protected. Still, seeing that she was an angel and had come from seemingly nowhere, but believing the perhaps the tree had brought her here, they left her alone until she awoke on her own a day later. She awoke peacefully from her slumber, and the monk who was watching over her went to get his elders when he saw that she was awake.
They came down to speak with the angel knight, and asked why she was there. Sirona did not know why, telling them all that she did know; her name, Sirona, that she was angel trained to fight, some knowledge of the outside world, and that she knew of the sapling and Onnen's past(the tree). Otherwise, she did not know how she came to be where she was, but knew on sight what the sapling was that she had woken up next to. She had no why either, but knew that that would reveal itself in time.
Through all of this Sirona was calm and peacefully collected, believing in a grander design that had yet to reveal itself.
The monks, wishing to keep this place a secret, asked her to stay there for a few days while they decided on what to do. Agreeing to this Sirona spent two days with the sapling, the monks providing food for her. In those two days she, on her own, deciphered the symbols on the wall and traced with her fingers almost every inch of the mural depicting the creation of the world and the symbol of Onnen itself. She was learning as much as she could.
One night the monks that protected the sapling brought her secretly up to the main monastery, and in the morning said that she had appeared in the night, a story for the rest of the monks who are unaware of the sapling. A lie, yes, but one that even Sirona understood the necessity for the protection of the sapling.
She lived with the monks for years, helping them and learning of the world, travelling with them when they left. With her ability to fly it was a lot easier for her to travel then any of them, so she became a kind of face for the monks in the populated places around them where they traded. When travelling she would defend those that needed it, proving herself a fierce fighter when called upon to act in that role. But always, always, would she give those acting in darkness a chance to turn back to the light, to rethink their ways and walk away with their life. Only would she take a life if that being refused that offer or she deemed them beyond saving, such as mages who were too far corrupted by their own evil.
She knows the lands of Onnen well, but for some time now there has been… something, a feeling, that she can't really describe, that has been niggling at her. It wasn't until the massive earthquake and then the finding of the new continent that things started to slip into place for Sirona.
With the invasion the insect tribes tried to over she now feels it's time for her to make her way to these new lands and learn of them.
Sirona has met a few of the Deities at this point, but she is starting to struggle with how she's going to serve them all when their own morals clash with each other and her own.
(if you open this pic in a separate tab it's much larger and easier to see)
Sirona stands at around 5 foot 9 inches tall without her armour on. Her skin is fair and near perfect, just a few small scars on her arms. Her hair is generally shoulder length and is black in colour, her eyes a brilliant light blue that almost glows in sunlight and even in darkness. Her most striking feature are the angelic tattoos on her face, chin and lip. If she knows what these mean she hasn't told anyone and isn't about to either. Sirona's wings are large and the feathers the purest of white easily allowing her to fly and carry another being similar is size to herself. Her special armour allows for her wings to be used without hindrance while she's wearing it.
Under her armour Sirona usually just wears plain white clothing, her skin in milky and nearly flawless but for a few scars here and there. Her chest is a modest C cup, her armour just makes her chest look larger than it is. What is very striking, however, is that, not only is Sirona's face have tattoo work on it, but her body has angelic tattooing over it as well. Her belly had some, and some started at her wrists and worked it ways up to her throat, perfectly symmetrical on either arm and on each side of her neck. What they mean she isn't saying, and that's if Sirona even knows what they mean in the first place, not that many people will ever see them in the first place to ask.(RP note: I'm not going to describe what they look like exactly, since I have no good examples to work off at the moment. So, for the purpose of IC RP, if they come up, I'll just say that they are there and give no further detail than I have here.)
More about her past to come soon! :D
Sirona's typical Clergy members that travel together are in groups of three consisting of 2 Clergy and 1 Fighter NPCs. The Fighter is dressed like the rest of the Clergy but focuses more on being a guard for them and a look out for any danger.
Sirona's usual Light Elemental :)
Sirona's hammer
Sirona's armour when she's incognito, not wanting people to know who she is. However, unlike the picture, her arms aren't exposed by any kind of fabric, the metal runs up the full length of her arm.
Sirona's pet Owl Griffin! His name is Lume. He's grown up a bit and is now the size of a full groan Maine Coon.
