Being the age she is, Katerina has lived a long life. Most of her life was hard, but this only made her stronger.
The wolf demon was born in Nissoki, Ataiyo. Her parents were Thomas and Katherine Silverstein. They weren’t your normal family; Thomas was a wolf demon and Katherine was a high elemental. Katerina has fond memories of her parents. Her father would take her running through the forest; he wanted her to be in control in her wolf form, but made it fun. The wolf girl’s mother taught her how to cook, but also control her powers as an elemental. The family kept their powers a secret from the town. Her parent’s knew the town wasn’t ready for mythical beings.
The Silverstein family lived peacefully, that was until Katerina was sixteen years old. Her uncle Derek, her father’s brother, came into town. At first the wolf girl was more than happy to meet her uncle, then strange death’s happened around the town. The bodies were never hidden, but left out for everyone to see. Katerina didn’t think anything of the murder’s at first. She was only a child.
One day, she lost her father in the woods. Katerina didn’t know what made her go home that day, but when she returned, her father and mother were put to death. Crime in Nissoki were always punishable by death.
After she grabbed some things from home, the wolf girl left the city that night. She couldn’t stay there any longer. If only then, she knew about the curse her uncle had laid on her when her parents died. A curse that would never allow her to have children. Her uncle had been the cause of most of her grief. All because he loved the woman that her father was with.
It wasn’t long after, she was stuck in between five men with her fists up. They wanted her, but she wouldn’t let them. She was able to bring two down before they finally got her on her back. One stomped on her ankle; breaking it. Katerina thought she was done for until a stranger saved her life. His name was Nikolaus Wright, a vampire.
They spent months together before he finally set her up with some friend’s of his; Mercenary’s. The band of misfits grew attached to the young girl with spunk. They decided to teach her everything they knew. Time passed, and they soon grew as family. Katerina even liked one of the men in the group, Luke. Before they could move their relationship to marriage, Luke was killed in one of the missions.
Katerina hardened her heart after his death. She still cared for the mercenary's around her, but she would never let herself feel for another again.
Year’s passed. Her band became smaller and smaller. When Jonathon, her leader, took ill, Katerina cared for him until he passed.
After some time, she finally went to a place of ice. Itjivut. She had saved some wolves, who became attached to her. They didn’t leave her side; they protected her as she did them.
Some time after this, she was approached by a group of men. They were in a league of assassins and wanted her to join. Thinking nothing of it, Katerina did.
She spent years in the league, killing person after person. Some nice but also evil. She grew in stealth here and also love. She fell in love with her partner, Jax. They always went on every mission together and their feelings grew. They wanted to have a family, and get out of this way of life.
Sadly, this love wouldn’t last like the others. Katerina became pregnant but lost her baby in childbirth. This tore them apart. They couldn’t move on from it.
Thinking that she would never feel happy again, Katerina swore she would never love another again. So, in swearing this, Katerina was alone for most of her life. Only her wolves stayed beside her.
Many years had passed since then. Katerina' found an unlikely friend, Natsumi. The fox told Katerina, her family was innocent of the crimes they were once accused of, and everyone of the land knew it.
Later, on an island in the middle of the sea, her uncle found her. He said that he had placed a curse on Katerina to never have children and it was time for her to die. Much to his dismay, Katerina was the one to kill him and his pirate army; with the help of Natsumi.
Katerina and Natsumi help free the men and women on her uncle’s slave ships. In doing so, Katerina found a small girl and a tiger. The wolf demon couldn’t let them go. Taking them in, she named the child, Kiyomi Katsu Silverstein.
After all these years alone, Katerina had gained a child….but it wouldn’t be long after she would gain another. Eden. After finding a job in the Viren’s forest, Katerina was captured and raped. She was saved then set free. Upon leaving, The wolf demon stumbled upon a child in the forest, the last of her village. Being the woman that she was, Katerina took the child in. Her name was Eden.
When she returned home, Katerina found out she was pregnant. The wolf demon birthed a daughter, Gabriella. Not knowing at the time, Gabby was soon taken by Natsumi, who saved her life. Katerina didn’t know of the circumstances until her baby was placed back into her arms months later. The wolf demon renamed her; Evangeline Katsumi Silverstein.
Much more has happened since that day. Katerina has gained three more children; Freya, Annette, and Guinever. Her daughter’s are the loves of her life. She would do anything for them.
Thinking she would only have her daughters, the unexpected happened. Clyde, her uncle from her mother’s side, found her. Katerina found out she had another aunt and cousins. Also, a brother. Wilhelm that now lives with her.
Someone from her past also entered her life, Nikolaus. They started to fall for one another, and Katerina didn’t push him away, but let him in fully. Will this turn out to be like the others? Katerina hopes not, but is taking the chance.
